What’s a Maven? 

A maven is a trusted expert in a particular field who seeks to pass knowledge on to others.  Heidi Pomeroy has been sharing her love and expertise of cooking and food with families for over 15 years enabling healthy eating.

Can I pick up my order at The Maven Mercantile? 

Yes you can!  Please choose "Maven Meals Pick Up" from the drop-down menu when you set up/edit your account. Meals will be available for pick up throughout the week between 10am-6pm beginning on Monday at our Burien location and Tuesday for our Vashon location.

Is everything Organic? 

In short, no. We are committed to using all natural, hormone & antibiotic free meats from local producers including Painted Hills Beef, Draper Valley Chicken, Anderson Ranch Lamb, Carlton & Lan Roc Farms Pork & Durham Ranch Bison. Additionally, our seafood & fish is wild. We do strive to use as much organic produce as practical & available. We always use organic, greens, herbs, bananas, quinoa & tofu.

Is nutritional information available?

We are dedicated to keeping the menu interesting & constantly changing each week, unfortunately with the hundreds of items available we are unable to offer nutritional information. Each item is always made from scratch using high quality ingredients in our kitchen! 

I am finished with my containers, how do I return them? 

We'll be happy to pick up your cooler & containers the next time we'll be in your neighborhood delivering. Please email to schedule a pick up. 

How do I add credit to my account?

Give us a call @ 206.557.7985 and we'll be happy to set that up for you!  Note:  it is not necessary to add credit to your account to order, you will be prompted to pay with a credit card.

Are Gift Certificates available?

Yes! You can purchase gift certificates here!

How big is each serving?

Prices are for a single serving and are fairly generous.  Serving size information is listed in the “show details” box underneath each menu item.

How much does it cost to get started?

Only the cost of your meals and a $4.75 delivery fee.  The only time there may be additional charges is when containers, coolers or ice packs aren't returned within 2 months (only after we have made repeated attempts to contact you for a pick-up).  There is a fee of $5 per ice pack/glass container that is not returned & $10 for any unreturned coolers.

Is there a minimum order?

Nope, order just what you like, we'll happily bring it to you.

What's the Delivery Fee? 

At Maven Meals we're big fans of sustainability and we do our best to make as few stops as possible when delivering your meals.  When 3 or more people in one building or office have meals delivered we'll reward you by crediting the $4.75 delivery fee to your account for use the following week!  Otherwise, all orders will be charged a $4.75 delivery fee.

Can I choose my delivery day?

Your delivery day is determined by your delivery location and at this time cannot be changed. 

How often does the menu change?

The menu changes weekly with 15-20 new options posted each week on Monday morning.  We wouldn’t want to eat the same thing every week and you shouldn’t have to either!

Do the meals come frozen?

No, everything comes to you fresh! Many dishes are ready-to-eat, others require warming, and some seafood requires a little cooking in order to ensure maximum deliciousness.

What type of packaging do you use?

We package our meals in  reusable plastic containers. When practical do we use some biodegradable plastic bags.  Your order comes in a soft-sided cooler with ice packs to ensure proper food safety during transport.

Container Information


  • Our re-usable plastic containers are microwave safe, though NOT oven safe. Please transfer any items you wish to put in the oven to an appropriate dish.
  • To prevent melting, please do not put container lids in the microwave or oven
  • Please remove the labels & rinse all food residue

What if I break a container?

We understand accidents happen!  Let us know and we will adjust your container inventory.

Can I keep my containers?

We ask that if you aren't planning on ordering within 3 weeks from your last delivery, that you schedule a pick up for us to come get your coolers & ice packs (you are welcome to keep your plastic containers if you'd like to).  For any missing ice packs you will be charged a flat fee of $5 per item.
